1. Research Staff Position- MPT Neuro-Physiotherapist

Staff would be recruited on merit and experience as per AHERF ICMR research policy norms.

This is full time research work position only for the duration of the project.

Research staff will be governed by rules and regulation of AHERF and Apollo Hospitals.

  • MPT-Neuro-Physiotherapy project research staff will report to PI and Co-PIs from AHERF. Under the guidance of PI. The research staff will have to study the protocol and learn the research methodology from PI and get trained on BCI Hand exoskeleton.
  • The research position is full time project and research work has to be carried out at Indraprastha Apollo, New Delhi under of PI and Co-PI at AHERF.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Under the Guidance of PI, working with Neurology-clinical team the candidate would aid the PI and team in selection and recruitment of the patients as per criteria set in the protocol.
  • The consent form is to duly filled in our data management system and complete explanation of patient information sheet under guidance of PI.
  • Recording and data collation including demographics and patient history of ailments/treatments for each patient recruited in the clinical trial both in hard and soft copies to be submitted to PI and AHERF every time as per clinical research data recording norms.
  • Ensure with nursing staff the collection of blood samples for biomarker assay and other test samples to be stored/transported to designated places.
  • After screening and Recruitment of patients; scheduling therapy of the patients and conducting of the therapy sessions for participants at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals. The candidate will ensure the test group on BCI hand exoskeleton and the control group patient to be followed up periodically for their home care schedule too. The candidate will be discussing patient recovery with PI and Neuro-team regularly and obtaining their feedback.
  • Maintaining Data Security: All mentioned data will have to be stored in hard and soft copies as per clinical trial norms in secure places as designated by PIs. PI and Co- PI will be shown the research data and patient record files. Raw data and collated data for Analysis of the trial data carried out by research staff candidates will be with the AHERF Team.
  • Report only to PI and Co PI at AHERF and IITK and Maintain Data and confidentiality during and after the project. The candidate need to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement when recruited which will be binding on the candidate during and after project.
  • Selected candidate will be evaluated periodically. This position is fulltime for the duration of the above mentioned research project only. To obtain the experience certificate the candidate has to work with PIs, Co-PIs and the Apollo-AHERF ecosystem till completion of the assigned research project.

Compensation and package: commensurate with qualification and experience.

2. Position- Project engineer (PE)

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Putting on the EEG cap, fixing electrodes, etc.
  • - EEG, EMG, IMU signal acquisition, signal processing, and training the model for each subject/participant parameters.
  • - operation of the hand exoskeleton and training the assist as required controller.

Skills and expertise required:

  • Desirable Experience: Experience in Signal recording, processing and analysis for EMG or EEG signals for neuroscience / cognitive science / bio-robotics applications.
  • Experience in Computer Science / Electrical engg./ Electronics Engg. Mechatronics.
  • Educational Qualification: B. Tech + M. Tech + PhD or M.Tech + 3 years relevant experience

3. Position- Junior Scientist

Position Overview: AHERF seeks three Junior Scientists for its translational division, focusing on developing novel circulatory biomarkers (exosomes/cell-free DNA/microRNA) and drug nano formulations. The role involves assisting in biomarker assay development using molecular biology, immunological, and biochemical techniques and contributing to exosome and nano-based diagnostics and therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cell-based assays and molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, ELISAs)
  • Participate in exosome isolation and characterisation

  • Contribute to laboratory-developed tests (LDTs) development and validation
  • Document procedures and results in lab notebooks

  • Cell culture techniques
  • Exosome isolation methods (e.g., ultracentrifugation, size exclusion chromatography)
  • Basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, Western blotting)
  • Nanoparticle characterisation methods (e.g., NTA, DLS)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective teamwork abilities

Qualifications:

  • MSc in cell biology or related field (fresh graduates or 3-4 year’s experience)
  • Focus on exosome biology preferred

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Experience in exosome, molecular biology, and cell biology research.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic development
  • Familiarity with GMP and regulatory requirements for diagnostics
