Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation (AHERF) Hyderabad, India

Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation (AHERF) is a leading biomedical research organization focused on advancing translational medicine and innovative healthcare solutions. AHERF conducts cutting-edge research in extracellular vesicles (exosomes), molecular diagnostics, and therapeutic platforms for diseases including cancer, neurological disorders, and inflammatory conditions. Through close collaboration between clinicians, scientists, and industry partners, AHERF aims to translate scientific discoveries into clinically relevant diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.

Position Overview: AHERF invites applications for Project Associate positions to support ongoing research projects utilizing extracellular vesicle (exosome) platforms for diagnostics and therapeutics. The selected candidates will work closely with senior scientists and contribute to translational research involving circulatory biomarkers such as exosomes, cell-free DNA, and microRNAs. The candidate will assist in developing biomarker and therapeutic assays from biological fluids using molecular biology, immunological, and biochemical techniques, and support the development of exosome-based diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing cell-based and molecular biology assays (PCR, ELISA, Western blotting, etc.).
  • Support research related to exosome isolation, characterization, and functional analysis.
  • Assist in the development of biomarker assays from biological fluids.
  • Maintain proper laboratory documentation and experimental records.
  • Participate in data analysis, interpretation, and preparation of research reports or publications.
  • Stay updated with scientific developments in extracellular vesicle research.
  • Contribute to collaborative research activities within multidisciplinary teams.

Educational Qualification:

  • MSc in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related disciplines).

Experience:

  • Experience in exosome/extracellular vesicle biology will be preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in molecular biology and cell biology techniques is desirable.
  • Analytical skill set focuses on macromolecular compositions (e.g., RNA, protein, lipids).
  • Experience immunoassay product development, including reagent development, assay protocol optimisation, specification development, and statistical methods.

Place of work: CMBRC – Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation (AHERF) 1st Floor, AIMSR Building, Apollo Health City Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana, India

Why Join AHERF: AHERF provides a dynamic and collaborative research environment with opportunities to work on innovative extracellular vesicle technologies and translational biomedical research. Researchers will gain exposure to interdisciplinary collaborations and contribute to developing next-generation diagnostics and therapeutics.
